MATISYAHU
song of the day: One Day

". . . cause I am here for a reason, sometimes in my tears I drown, but I never let it get me down, so when negativity surrounds, I know some day it'll all turn around . . ."

Last night I went to the Matisyahu concert at the House of Blues in Anaheim for the second time and loved it! For those who don't know much about him Matisyahu (His hebrew name for Matthew) fuses the contemporary styles of rap, beatboxing, and hip-hop in general, with the more traditional vocal disciplines of jazz's scat singing and Judaism's hazzan style of songful prayer—more often than not rolling it all into a dominant background of reggae music.
